Global Warming????

I woke up this morning to rain and 46 degrees. The left tells us we are experiencing global warming. Can anyone explain this?????

I'd More than Happy to explain to the best of my ability.

Basically, the earth has many kinds of cycles and trends that take place all thoughout history.

for excample: during the early 1800the Thames river in London froze over every year as a matter of normal course, soon however, the regular freezing slowed and eventually stopped. but over time, it cooled yet again, starting yet another cycle.

The truth is that we are experiencing "global Warming", not as a consequence of "more population driving more cars",but more because the earth is gradually warming up from the last period of cooling, namely the 1970s.

as for the cool temperatures this morning, well, I'd blame that on low atmospheric presure, a few cold fronts converging, perhaps a little high humidity, and maybe some light north winds :-)

I hope my lengthy answer clears things up a bit.

I'm not sure I agree with the whole global warming thing. It's the end of the first week in June, and we had the heat on yesterday! THAT is NOT warm!

Graydon~ Thanks for your lengthy comment! I understand the cooling and warming cycle--but find it quite humerous that even cold temperatures can be attributed to global warming!

As for our current temperatures--I heard that this is our coldest June since 1894! Pretty strange weather!

Jacqueline~ Amen! Enjoy that warm weather while you have it!

Britty Mac ~ I know--the whole global warming thing can be pretty laughable. Someone told me that they are trying to change the lingo to "gobal climate change" or something like that! What next??
